About UsBorn in Moscow, Dmitry Gindin came to the USA in 1976. In his early years he studied the violin but became interested in the instruments themselves and soon began dealing in them. In 1984 Gindin started a full-time business as a wholesale dealer in fine instruments and bows, based in Boston. Since 1987 Gindin began travelling extensively around the world, seeking out instruments that would qualify as fine investments, while acquiring the necessary expertise by picking over auctions, private collections and stocks of other dealers and violin makers.
